APRIL 6TH

PHOTOSHOP! What an incredible program! It literally can transform a simple picture into a beautiful master piece.  I dont have it on my computer but I played around with it on my friends computer and it is so neat.  There are reasy things to do as well as extremely complicated things and I think that would be super fun to learn!

APRIL 4TH

Today I went to 2 different parks! I have een looking at many professional pictures and I have come to realize I think parks are beautiful.  I love all of the natural green and plants there are and I think they are the perfect place to take pictures.  I went to 2 parks inWeston and they were both so pretty. I walked round and decided good places to take pictures.  I didnt take any though with a real camera, just my phone!

ALTHOUGH I AM HORRIBLE AT BLOGGING AND IT SLIPS MY MIND ALL OF THE TIME........................ I have been taking amazing pictures!!!!! I am always taking pioctures wherever I go1 Even if i don't have my actual camera, I use my phone if I find something fasinating enough to take pictures of.  The other day i even took a photo shoot of my best friend at a beautiful park with amazing sun light and different tecniques I have learned from researching! I cant not wait to put it all together for my final presentation!

TOMORROW IS ULTRA!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ultra Music Festival is the biggest music festival in the entire world! I have been waiting for so long to go and one reason is is so I can take lots of pictures! There will be 50,000 people there each and every day so it may be hard to take pictures because of how confined I will be in the crowd but I am going to figure out some way to take them for my pleasure and for the WISE project!  Its going to be crazy and I want to take videos too to incorporate into my project! I'll blog tomorrow and probably post some pictures!

FINALLY... I GOT IT!

I feel so good today!  I know it took a long time, but yesterday I had a long talk with Coach Love and I went over everything I was a little bit confused on.  I finally unerstand everything and caught up a lot.  I did around 14 noodle tools yesterday and I am more motivated than ever to make this project amazing.

Also, on a personal note.... I have been eating healthier lately and am getting the courage to work out frequently.  I actually think that is helpng my body stay awake and helping me want to be more active in every aspect of my life (ESPECIALLY MY WISE PROJECT!)

I am going to dinner soon and I am going to focus on the presentation of the food.  That is art within the actual food.  Presentation is a lot and I want to tae notic of how different artists do different things, not just photographers!  Maybe I will be inspired by the way food is presented on my plate tonight...... I'll keep ya guys posted!

INTERNSHIP......... FAIL

After much thinking, I decided not do continue my internship anymore.  I think Weston Photography is a wonderful place and business, but I don't think it went well with my project.  It was too much work that didn't directly connect with photography at all.  I wanted to do something that taught me about any aspect of photography.  It could have ranged from camera work to lighting to directing or to printing.  I really hope there is something out there for me within the course of WISE that can teach me a lot from a professional standpoint!

INTERNSHIP

The day of my internship I was so excited!  I came home as quickly as I could (with out speeding of course) and I changed into what I thought was a trendy, but professional outfit.  I wanted to look the part of a photographer.  I had directions written down because Weston Photography is pretty confusing to get to.  As soon as I got there......... I was out to work.  I wanted to keep busy and do what the people who were in charge of me asked me to do, but boy was it not what I was planning.

Weston Photography takes school pictures of many elementary schools.  I sat an an extremely unorganized desk filled with papers and had to sort a pile of pictures they gave me.  There were hundreds!  I was assigned to find the orders of the pictures and then place every picture in the envelope they had to go in.  I was there for a few hours and to be honest.. couldn't wait to leave.  They asked me to come everyday after school and I didn't know how to respond on the spot because I really did not expect to work like that and not get paid :(

MIAMI

It is almost 4 in the morning and I just got to a computer and could not wait to blog about what I did today! I spent the whole day and night in Miami Beach taking pictures of basically everything I found interesting. I am not going to use all of my pictures I took for my final project, but I am still figuring out exactly what it is that I am interested in.  I took many pictures of the water and I got inspiration to do a bigger project with the water.  My boyfriend lives in Miami Beach and he lives on the bay with a beautiful dock.  I am going to use his backyard to take pictures of the sunset on the amazing water with the view.

Yesterday I researched different cameras online and saw so many lenses I wanted to buy for my camera.  Of course all of the lenses I was interested in were close to 500 dollars so I'm not going to get them.    <---- this camera lense is 11.999 dollars and weighs 10 pounds!!!!!!

Playing around with make up.......

Unfortunately, I have been slacking a lot with my blogs :( ......... BUT- I have been doing so many new things for my project!  I am still very confused on what I want my main goal to be while working with photography, so I have been doing many different things to try to figure it out.

Although I am awful at putting on make up, I know it is a huge part of photographing people in staged shoots.  I used the picture below of the girl with drastic eye make up on as a model, and I tried to imitate it and apply it on my best friend.  I don't have all of the right make up and tools to do it perfectly, but I tried and it turned out ok.  Hopefully I become better at applying make up!

My main goal for the next week is to find a place to do a photo shoot of a person.  Ali, my best friend I put the make up on, said she is more than happy to be the model.  Hopefully I really enjoy this type of photography, or next week I can try something different.  I will post a few pictures of what I do, but not many because those will be saved for my FINAL presentation!

INTERNSHIP!

Yesterday I got an internship! I am so excited.  My mentor, Mrs. Yuman has connections with Weston Photography because she used to work there, so now I have an internship to learn the ropes.  Hopefully I don't just file papers and answer phones, but I explore and watch professional photographers do what they do best- creating art.

I haven't gotten a schedule with my times and days I work, but the owner, Marla, said she will email me sometime this week.  I looked on the website and the pictures that they take and I am fascinated.  I rather not be a photographer for Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and weddings, but if thats they only type of place I can get an internship right now, thats fine with me!

I have figured out that I really enjoy taking pictures of the sunset, the beach, and nature. I spent my entire summer in Israel and I have hundreds of pictures of nature and mountains and when the sun rised and set.  I have a deep appreciation for that kind of photography because with the right lighting and angle, a picture could actually capture the moment perfectly.  I came to a conclusion that I want to focus on the earth and the beauty with in it.

I am going to take photographs of nature and beautiful scenery and either make a portfolio of my pictures or I wil make a slideshow with musi correlating with the pictures in the background.  I am really excited to start becoming more creative and play around with my camera to see what cool things I can create!

INTERVIEW

I have a;ways considered my friend Juliana artsy.  She is always holding a camera and I know her group of friends do the same.  I don't mean she holds a camera and just takes pictures of her friends and when she goes out at night, but she takes pictures of beautiful scenery and nature.  When I found out I had to interview someone she was the first person I thought of.  To my surprise, she said no when I asked her if I can ask her questions for my WISE project.  She rather me talk to someone who is actually a photographer and knows the field better than she does. 

She told me she has a good family friend who dropped out of Cypress Bay when he was a junior and moved to barcelona, Spain.  Although I have never been to Barcelona before, my brother studied a semester abroad there and my sister spent a summer there.  I relly felt like I knew a lot about it and believe it is one of the coolest cities in the world.  Juliana asked her friend if I can interview him and he said of course.  

I texted him all the way from south Florida and I am so glad I did.  I got such an interesting perspective on his way of life.  Of course I don't necessarily agree with every aspect of what he does, like dropping out of school, but I deeply appreciate his love and passion for the art, especially photography.  

I hope to interview more people and get different opinions and advice on photography!

Searching for my niche......

After thinking long and hard for months what my WISE project should be, I found myself always coming back to photography.  I have enjoyed taking pictures for years of all different things.  One of my passions (even though I am an awful singer and can't play an instument) is music.  I love going to concerts.  My favorite type of music is indie relaxing music.  I have taken many pictures at concerts which is something I may want to pursue when I am older.  

The last week, I have been looking through all of my pictures on my computer and albums I have around my house.  It seems ccrazy that it took me a week to look at pictures, but I literaly have thousands of photos I have taken.  I am trying to have a focus point and pick a particular event or scene I like to take my pictures in.  Looking at all of my photos helps me realize what I like and I don't like.

So far I have come to decide I enjoy the enviroment and beautiful scenery.  I am also fascinated with architecture and scenic citys.  I will becom more knowladgable about my preferences as the weeks go by, but for now I am hoping to go to a variety of places and take pictures!
